“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing.” Luke 18:1 says, “Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.”
Jesus wants to teach us to persist in prayer — to keep knocking until the door is open!
God promises to open the door as we knock. Let’s persist in knocking, while believing He is on the other side waiting to reveal more of Himself, His ways, and His will.
Catching up? Here’s Week 1 and 2 of our 21 Days of Prayer prompts.
Day 15: January 19
Galatians 6:9
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Pray: Ask God to make you a person of persistent prayer. Trust that He will guide you, giving you focus to keep your eyes on Him and not give up. Write down one prayer that you have waited a long time for God to answer, and ask Him to answer, or release you from praying for that item specifically.
Day 16: January 20
Romans 12:1
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true & proper worship.”
Pray: Seek to worship God wholeheartedly today. Don’t hold anything back. Confess any sin that weighs you down; put God first above anything else that vies for your attention. Ask God to increase the number of people who worship at Wellspring Church each week.
Day 17: January 21
Philippians 3:14
“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Pray: Ask God to help you grow in your love and walk with Jesus. Seek today to walk in step with the Savior, to hear His voice, and to follow His instructions. Pray that you might become more like Him in every way. Ask God to multiply Life Groups and one-on- one mentoring at Wellspring.
Day 18: January 22
1 Peter 4:10-11
“Each of should use whatever gift you received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.”
Pray: Knock on the door of heaven and see where God may open opportunities for you to serve Him today. Then, in His power, serve with joy. Pray also for God to open doors for Wellspring to serve locally and globally for His glory.
Day 19: January 23
2 Corinthians 9:7
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
Pray: Ask God how you are to steward all that is His and give cheerfully to His church, potential ministries, and to people in need. Knock on the door of heaven and ask God to show you His faithfulness and provision in all things. Perhaps God reveals an opportunity to be generous today; if so, do so cheerfully (without guilt!) and with joy.
Day 20: January 24
Mark 16:15
“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.’”
Pray: Ask God to open doors to share Jesus with your neighbor. Seek to find who in your sphere of influence does not know Jesus; as God shows you, pray for them by name. Knock on heaven’s door that according to God’s will, He might draw the lost to Himself as the Gospel is shared through the people of Wellspring Church.
Day 21: January 25
Matthew 6:33
“But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Pray: Ask God to give you all you need, trusting in His provision and timing. Seek His Kingdom in your work, your home, and your personal life. Consider how can He be first in your desires, your thoughts, and your speech. Knock on heaven’s door and ask God to provide a permanent place for Wellspring Church. He will meet this need!
